| Julie Wulf Silk Painting Workshop Saturday, June 19th 10-3PM On the Wall Gallery Hot Springs, MT Please join the Hot Springs Artists Society as we welcome Julie Wulf back for her second workshop with us on Saturday, June 19th 10-3PM at On the Wall Gallery here in Hot Springs. A Montana native, Julie brings her love of color and the magical spirit of nature to her batiks, watercolors and silk paintings. She has lived in and exhibited her work in Arizona, Florida and Jamaica, but feels most inspired and at home in Montana. Since moving to the Flathead Valley 10 years ago, Julie has participated in top-quality shows throughout the West, such as the C.M. Russell Auction and Art Show in Great Falls and the Masters in Miniature Show at the Russell Museum. She is often involved in events at the Hockaday Museum and the Bigfork Museum. Ms. Wulf has won awards for batik, silk painting, and watercolor paintings, including being named Honored Local Artist by the Lakeside Community Club. | On the Wall Gallery in May 8th-June 25th Juried Art Show The Hot Springs Artists Society hosts our second annual Juried Art Show May 8-June 25th. Join us for the opening reception Friday, May 8th 6-8 PM with awards at 7 PM. Judge Olivia Olsen is a partner and teacher at The Red Poppy, Mission Valley Arts Center in Ronan, MT. She works and teaches in a variety of styles and mediums including oils, acrylic, watercolor, print making, and clay sculpture. Olivia did a wonderful job as our judge giving much time and attention. She also gave a wonderful workshop. Thanks Olivia! We had a great turn out for the Juried Art Show reception, at the Gallery, and several of the artists were there to visit with us. There were ribbons for each subject, such as Best Landscape or Best Floral. The top awards were RESERVE IN SHOW won by Lucky Howser of Hot Springs, MT and BEST IN SHOW won by Vonnie Nuthak of Butte, MT. Congratulations and Thanks! The show runs through June. |
