In addition to acting as jurist Ms. Olsen will also be offering an outdoor workshop entitled : “Painting on Location”. In this workshop, you will discover wonders in nature and turn them into works of art as you work in terms of mass value and color changes, one spot relative to the next spot. On location, you will work from thumbnail sketches in watercolor or pencil to complete three studies in two days. Learning to make great beginnings will lead to great finishes utilizing acrylic, watercolor or oils as you choose. The Workshop will be held Saturday and Sunday, May 1st and 2nd in Hot Springs. Attendance is open to all. $75 for both days for HSAS members and $80 for non- members. Call 741-2382 for more information & to register. |
