Welcome Summer!
Hello to all, hope your summer’s going very well with all the warm sunshine and cool evenings.
The Hot Springs Artists Society had there annual corporate meeting the end of June and we were blessed
to have several people willing to serve on the board. At our July 6th meeting we went over how the
Children’s Summer Art Camp was going and our field trip on Friday. Which was a lot of fun, and on the
11th we are studying and painting some of the ancient rock paintings we observed on the field trip. The
youngsters will also be making and painting bluebird houses and putting them out, doing rainsticks and kite
making. I want to offer a very big Thank You to the kind people who work to make this happen and a
special Thanks to the Symes Hotel Folks for the space, making birdhouse and other items, gathering
rocks, serving good food and more. Also to everyone else who give there time and effort, without you it
would not be, and we and the kids would loose a lot! THANK YOU ALL!!! Its great to see the smiles and
excitement in the young peoples faces as they get to create and learn!
